How Does Opti Core Pro Work?
Opti Core Pro's disclosed formula is a general multivitamin base plus a non-eye-specific herbal blend.
Dedicated eye-health formulas like AREDS2 use different, higher-dose ingredients that aren't in this label.
The disclosed base does the foundational work
Vitamin A, C, E, Zinc and a range of B-vitamins are dosed at standard daily-value ranges. These nutrients do have general roles in antioxidant and immune support, and Vitamin A specifically supports normal vision function as part of the visual cycle — likely the connection the brand's positioning draws on. But at the amounts shown here, they're general multivitamin doses, not the higher, eye-specific amounts used in dedicated research like AREDS2.
The blend leans on prostate, hair and general-wellness botanicals
Saw Palmetto and Stinging Nettle, the blend's most researched ingredients, are primarily studied for prostate and urinary health. Horsetail, Fo-Ti, Bamboo and PABA are more commonly featured in hair-and-nail formulas. See our full piece on why lutein and zeaxanthin are missing.
What dedicated eye-health research actually looks at
Formulas modeled on AREDS2 research typically center on four to six specific compounds — lutein, zeaxanthin, vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc and copper — usually at doses well above general multivitamin ranges. Opti Core Pro's label takes a materially different approach.
What the mechanism does not establish
No finished-product clinical trial for Opti Core Pro was identified in the materials reviewed. See the full ingredient list and what the formula is positioned to support.
